• Was Second-Team All-Citrus Belt League in 2007 and honorable mention in 2008 for Yucaipa High
• Was on the So-Cal Scout Ball All-Star team
• Has a 2.1 ERA as a senior and was clocked as high as 97 mph
• Team rookie of the year as a junior
• Also had eight saves as a junior
• Threw a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts vs. Laguna Hills
• Graduated with highest academic honors
