The Zags hit first with back-to-back baskets from Kyle Wiltjer. BYU tied the score at four on free throws by Worthington, but Gonzaga answered with a 12-0 run.

BYU wouldn’t score another field goal until the 12-minute mark. Tyler Haws threw down a field goal, which Skyler Halford followed with a 3-pointer.

Another run, this time 6-0, gave the Bulldogs a 31-15 lead, BYU's largest deficit of the season. Kyle Collinsworth’s layup with 8:48 until halftime launched a 9-0 run that got the Cougars back in the game.

Frank Bartley IV drained a 3-pointer with the clock at 5:25, and Anson Winder followed with a layup that brought the crowd to its feet and cut the gap to 35-31.

A Fischer trey and Collinsworth jumper pushed the score within one at 39-38. Collinsworth tied the score 43-43 going into halftime with a buzzer beater from beyond the arc.

Haws led the team with 10 points, while Collinsworth led in rebounding with five and assists with five. He also had nine points.
