In addition to her West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week nod, McKenna Bull was named the Madness WCC Softball Player of the Week for the second time this season after her strong play last week.
This is the third Madness WCC Player of the Week honor for BYU this season. Bull also picked up the award in March and Libby Sugg won back in February.
In 13.1 innings pitched this week, Bull had a 0.53 ERA and .146 opponent batting average. She also notched 19 strikeouts with just one earned run, three walks and seven hits over the week. Against No. 1/3 Oregon, she gave up no runs and just three hits while tossing eight strikeouts in the tight 1-0 loss. In the complete game win at Oregon State, Bull threw 10 strikeouts, her third game this season with double-digit strikeouts.
The Madness National Field Player of the Week was Florida State's Sydney Broderick and the Madness National Pitcher of the Week was Michigan's Megan Betsa. The complete list of the winners from each conference can be seen here.
