At Bellevue he was the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Champion (MCAC) in ‘08 and ‘09 and participated in the 2008 NAIA World Series. Slade earned his bachelor’s degree from Bellevue University in 2009 in physical education and sports studies with a minor in coaching theory. He and his wife, Jaime, and their two-year-old daughter Miya live in Salt Lake City.
